After spending a summer as an intern at the U.S. Attorneys’ Office in Eastern New York, John quickly realized that criminal law was the perfect fit for him. Shortly thereafter, John was granted a Student Practice Order by the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Second Department that allowed him to represent indigent clients charged with crimes and offenses while still in law school.
John immediately saw that persons caught up in the criminal justice system were up against enormous hurdles and set out to provide the best representation possible. John is committed to zealously and creatively taking on all criminal matters no matter how big or small the consequences may be.
John received his Bachelor of Arts from New York University and his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra Law School. At New York University, John was elected and served as President of the Senior Class. At Hofstra Law School John was elected and served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association. In addition, John was awarded membership in a number of prestigious organizations including the Moot Court Association, the Labor & Employment Law Journal, and the Criminal Justice Clinic. John also competed in the Thurgood Marshall Regional Mock Trial Competition where his team defeated the defending champion Massachusetts School of Law to reach the Final Four round.
As a licensed attorney John has amassed an impressive track record of success in all stages of criminal proceedings. The best measure of his success is the numerous thank you notes and messages he regularly receives from clients.
John is a New York native who is happily married to his loving wife Sharon, a third-year law student at CUNY Law. Apart from the practice of law, John enjoys hiking and participating in charitable causes. John is set to run the New York City Marathon this November in an effort to raise money to fight cystic fibrosis.
